Psychics and fortune tellers use two main groups of methods to perform psychic readings. Each method used reading an individuals fortune and future falls into the group of either structured or unstructured. 4. Palmistry - Is considered to be a structured method of psychic reading as each line on the hand symbolizes a different section of an individuals life and the meaning of these lines are considered to be universal.
5. Physiognomy - A method of divination that uses physical attributes of an individual to read things like character and personality, health and future life route. Readers of Physiognomy will use things like face shape, bone structure and complexion to make their reading. Iridology specifically uses the iris and eyes to make a psychic reading.
6. Tarot - Tarot is possibly one of the most used and trusted types of structured psychic readings. Readers will use a deck of cards which use a set of ancient rules to find meaning in an individual's life. The deck allows for wide interpretation depending on the layout of the cards and the order in which they appear.
Although structured psychic reading methods can be learnt, most are considerably more precise when carries out by someone who has a psychic gift. Things like Tarot cards, Palmistry and Rune stone merely lay out a framework for the psychic reader to work around. An ungifted reader would be able to give someone the textbook meaning of what each symbol could possibly mean to someone but would lack the extra instinct that gifted psychics have to read between the lines and personalise a reading.
